The kids recently had a no school day during the week, and I wanted to get them out of the house. I especially wanted to get them away from the computers, so we grabbed some friends and went bowling. At the bowling alley here, they give you a free game for every ‘A’ on your report card. We’ve got lots of free games to use up.
About a week later Rob and I took them roller skating. The two youngest had never been skating before. The reactions were all over the board. Nick said he was bored the entire time and had his arms folded looking so, Ben went crazy and tried to do all sorts of stunts, Gordon just couldn’t get his balance to stay up and so hated it, and Ethan had fun hanging on the edge and going around and around reaching the painted numbers around the board.
I’m thinking my kids need more action in their lives so they don’t grow up to be computer chair potatoes.
Good Times!
