My Birthday Present

Monday, April 14th, 2008

Rob gave me the best birthday present this year. He took me to Prom! We went to this fabulous French restaurant for dinner dressed in our Prom attire. I borrowed a dress from a lady at Jazzercise who told me she was giving it to Goodwill so I could keep it. I bought a little tiara and sparkly earrings and matching necklace. I worked on my hair to put it up all in curls. Rob even got us a corsage and boutonniere. We got a private booth at the restaurant and we were all giggly and teen-agery. One of the chefs is a guy we know and he came out to talk to us. The servers kept peeking in at us every time they walked by. I think they were hoping to catch us making out. The youth in our church were having a huge multi-ward prom night. There was a 20 foot Eiffel Tower and running fountains and little French shops along the walls and a mini-bistro. The decorations were incredible. There was a photographer who took pictures for free and a couple in our ward were the DJs. Since I never went to my High school prom, this was the best…and oh yes…he got a kiss at the door…hehehe.

You think we got enough eggs?

Ethan had four Easter egg hunts this year for Easter. One at school, one in the neighborhood, one at a friend’s house, and one at the Grandparent’s house. I don’t think he minded, but he still has candy in his closet from Halloween and Valentine’s day. At the neighborhood hunt, he found one of the four golden eggs. He got to turn in the egg for a basket of goodies from the Easter bunny who was played by this super sweet lady in the neighborhood. I started out with a bucket of about 70 plastic eggs, but now I’ve got two buckets. Maybe I’ll have my own hunt next year. Nahahah.
