Muhlestein Reunion part3

Tuesday, July 31st, 2007

We had a few barbeques during our week in Utah. Not just eating (though we did a lot of that):)
There was one big water balloon fight
that turned into buckets of water (and the hose) fight

More talent

and dancing!

Bean Museum

This summer we went to Utah for a Muhlestein family reunion. We spent a day at BYU to reminisce, and show the kids our old school, but we couldn’t because everything had changed! All Rob and my favorite spots were gone and it was a bit depressing. It made me feel old and I didn’t like that one bit. We did talk to a couple of professors we knew and they were still there (in a brand new high-tech building). We decided to check out the old Bean Museum and guess what? It hadn’t changed!
Here the boys are watching a fascination film about bugs eating other bugs…sweeeeet!
Gordon kissing a lion–I’m pretty sure it’s a female:)

Me showing my stripes with the stuffed zebra

Nicholas making friends with the big brown bear.

Ben & Ethan in front of a butterfly collage made up of butterflies–cool, huh?

Walker Family
My family got together in North Carolina this year (everyone except Joel’s family)…I’m just going to show pictures with captions…that basically tells it best.
My sister, Amber and my son, Gordon on rollercoaster at Carowinds. We had just come from the waterpark…that’s why Amber is in her swimsuit:)

My brother, Nasson, and our nephew, Lincoln. We are getting ready to take a luncheon boatride on Lake Norman.

My sister, Anna and me at Lake Norman state park. What lovely ladies!

Gordon, Ben and Ethan playing in the sand at Lake Norman state park.
Gordon feeding an Emu at Lazy 5 Ranch(how many people can you say they fed an Emu).

Everyone was here for the 4th of July too..see next blog post. YAY!

The Walker’s 4th of July show!

Tuesday, July 3rd, 2007

Let’s start the show with Ben leading us in the Pledge of Allegiance to Roman Candles.
Then there is an outstanding performance of Prince’s Purple Rain by my dad to a Purple Rain firework. The most bang for your buck firework in my opinion and you must sing the song (very patriotic).

After the singing… The younger kids my have to be shielded and wisked at the sheer awesomeness of our fireworks display. Two examples here are Ethan hiding behind me and Issac covering his ears and being hauled away by Jon.

Watch out for Anna the clown!

And the fun and ear plugging will last far into the night
