Baseball Season Concludes

Saturday, June 5th, 2004

It’s over! And just in time. Today’s game was ended early because of the heat, 105 degrees. I couldn’t touch the steering wheel on the way home. We came home and turned on the tramp-o-sprink. The boys posed with their trophies, but it was impossible to get them to hold still.

Gordon doesn’t like the sprinklers to much. He and Ethan have their own method of cooling off.
Today is one of those days where it might as well be raining torrents outside–dealt with best by just staying inside, watching a movie, wrestling, and hanging out.

Nick’s Guitar

Thursday, June 3rd, 2004

Nick continues to get really good at the guitar.

He had a practice today. He and his teacher have a blues jam session at the end. Teacher lays down rhythm and Nick plays the blues scales. It sounds really good. Here is Nick giving us an impromptu concert last Sunday while we were hangin’ out listening to BYU Instrumental radio. They had some great acoustic guitar. Seems to be the thing to do now that Chad has his CD out and it is doing so well. Every time Nick hears guitar he talks about his Uncle Chad and how he wants to get as good as him. Then he practices. Ben has been tinkering with the Piano and really asking for lessons just today. He’ll start them soon. Our neighbor teaches and Ben seems like he’ll really like it.
